Faugères / Cuvée Marie-Laurencie

This is a beautiful five-generation family vineyard, stretching over 25 ha.
Marie-Geneviève Boudal-Benezech and her sons have been perpetuating the estate's traditions since 1995. Quality is at the heart of our work. The estate is situated on schists soil, with vines being about 60 years old on average. Our vineyard was awarded the sustainable agriculture certification Terra Vitis and has also been Organic certified since 2009. Picking is done by hand, allowing for the selection necessary to a perfect maturing of the wine. Average yields are of 28hl/ha.

Formidable Faugères, Marie-Laurencie 2013 vintage, 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Carignan, yield of 25hl/ha. One of the greatest wines of the area, great typicity, with firm and mature tannins, rich and blended also. The nose has notes of wild strawberries, prune, truffle and humus. It is fleshly as expected, with a hint of smokiness in its persistent finish, as well as notes of blackberry and spice, and has a great potential for aging.
