Domaine
Henri NATTER

Sancerre Blanc

Here on our 20ha, we devote ourselves to human warmth as much as we do to our vines, giving priority to fauna and flora, « mollycuddling » them to bring out their essence and to let them flourish, through a traditional and perfectly controlled maturation.
The owners, Cécile and Henry, have their heart set on sharing the subtleties of their environment, their terroir and their work, so that each of the bottles they make is a source of conviviality. Their daughter Mathilde works with her parents, and their son Vincent-Joseph looks after the cellar.

The 2014 white is a wonderful vintage which opens up with a lot of simplicity and generosity, explains Vincent-Joseph Natter. It is a complex wine, which truly bears the Henry Natter signature. The clay-limestone soil really speaks through it.
Our wines have nothing in common with wines from the « New World » with a boxtree nose, our wines offer a lovely classicism, they have good typicity and can be enjoyed straight away.

The 2014 red is a wonderful vintage, we managed to achieve a better extraction, thanks to our new vinification method, which has evolved since the 2014 vintage. It brings more complexity and more body to the wine, and we are truly satisfied with the results.

White Sancerre cuvée François de la Grange 2014, with a lovely elegance and great aromatic richness, with strong notes of dried fruit and peach, it is vibrant and refined.

Wonderful red Sancerre l'Enchantement 2012, vinification and maturation in oak casks, of an intense colour with tints of black, powerful aromas of red fruit and spice, and smooth tannins, with a good typicity, showing a promising evolution.

The Sancerre rosé 2015 remains the best in the appellation, of a lovely colour, with notes of orange and white flowers, ample and fat, ideal with veal liver « à la Lyonnaise », or even some tarama.

Superb sparkling Secret d'Anaëlle rosé, of great finesse, with a nez généreux, generous, ample and crisp on the palate, very fresh, which we enjoyed at dinner with a chocolate and mango tart, the perfect blend of flavours !

Vineyard
A stone's throw away from the Loire chateaux, at the heart of the Berry, in the picturesque village of Montigny between Sancerre and Bourges, Cécile and Henry Natter founded this 23ha vineyard in 1974, in the most south-western area of the appellation.
Soil and exposure
The vines are growing on Kimmeridge clay-limestone soil, along hillsides oriented south south-east, at a 350m altitude. The climate is subjected to a semi-continental influence. Conditions are ideal to allow for the Sauvignon to give out its best and for
